Some files need special software just to look inside. These viewers open tabular, columnar, database and map files straight in the browser so you can inspect them in seconds.
Opening a file first tells you its columns, types, row count and encoding, which saves time later. A quick look at a Parquet schema or a SQLite table often answers the question without any further processing.
Files are read on your device, so sensitive datasets do not travel over the network. Very large files depend on your computer's memory, so for multi-gigabyte data consider sampling or splitting it first.
The CSV/JSON viewer and Excel viewer-editor suit day-to-day spreadsheets, the Parquet viewer and SQLite viewer are built for analytics files that a normal spreadsheet app cannot open, and the GeoJSON viewer or shapefile viewer render map data on an actual map instead of a raw list of coordinates.
