SVG Editor

Write or paste raw SVG markup on the left and see it rendered live on the right as you type. Fix syntax issues with instant validation feedback, copy the source, download the .svg file, or rasterize it to a PNG at any scale. Everything runs locally in your browser.

How it works

  1. 1

Type or paste SVG markup into the code panel.

  2. 2

The preview panel re-renders instantly as you edit, with validation errors shown if the markup is malformed.

  3. 3

Copy the source or download it as a .svg file.

  4. 4

Or export a rasterized PNG at 1x–8x scale for use where SVG isn't accepted.

A focused code-and-preview workflow

Rather than a full drawing canvas, this editor treats SVG the way it actually is: markup. That makes it useful for cleaning up SVGs exported from design tools, hand-tuning icon paths, or learning SVG syntax with instant visual feedback on every change.

From vector markup to a shareable PNG

Not every place accepts SVG uploads. The PNG export lets you rasterize your markup at any resolution multiplier, so a small 24x24 icon can become a crisp 192x192 PNG for a favicon or app icon without leaving the page.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know SVG syntax to use this?

You do need to write or paste actual SVG markup, since this is a code editor, not a drawing tool. It's aimed at developers and designers who want to tweak SVG by hand and see the result instantly.

What happens if my SVG has a syntax error?

The editor runs a lightweight structural check on every keystroke - looking for a valid <svg> root, balanced tags, and well-formed markup - and shows an error message instead of the preview until it's fixed.

How does the PNG export work?

Your SVG source is turned into a data URL, loaded into an offscreen Image, then drawn onto a canvas sized to your chosen scale factor and exported with canvas.toBlob - all client-side, no server rendering involved.

Is my SVG code sent anywhere?

No. Parsing, rendering, and PNG rasterization all happen in your browser tab. Nothing you type is uploaded.

Can I preview SVGs with animations or gradients?

Yes, the live preview renders the markup directly in the DOM, so CSS animations, SMIL animations, gradients, filters, and clip paths all display exactly as they would in any browser.
