Parquet to CSV Converter

Upload a .parquet file and get back plain CSV text you can preview, copy, or download. Every row is decoded locally with hyparquet and serialized with correct RFC 4180-style quoting, so values containing commas, quotes, or newlines round-trip safely. Useful for opening a parquet export in a spreadsheet, or handing data to a tool that only understands CSV.

How it works

  1. 1

Upload a .parquet file from your device.

  2. 2

All rows are decoded locally using the hyparquet library.

  3. 3

Pick the delimiter you want the CSV output to use.

  4. 4

Preview the result, then copy it or download a .csv file.

Why convert Parquet back to CSV?

Parquet is efficient for storage and analytics, but plenty of everyday tools (spreadsheets, quick scripts, other people's pipelines) still expect CSV. This converter bridges that gap without requiring you to install pandas or a full data-engineering toolchain just to export a handful of rows.

Correct quoting, every time

The CSV serializer follows RFC 4180 conventions: any field containing the chosen delimiter, a double quote, or a newline is wrapped in quotes with internal quotes doubled, so the output opens cleanly in Excel, Google Sheets, or any standards-compliant CSV parser.

Frequently asked questions

Does this handle large Parquet files?

It reads every row into memory before serializing to CSV, so the practical limit depends on your device's available memory rather than an artificial cap - most typical export files convert instantly.

How are nested or complex columns handled?

List, struct, and other nested values are serialized as a compact JSON string within their CSV cell so no information is lost, though CSV itself has no native way to represent nested structures.

What happens to 64-bit integers and timestamps?

64-bit integer (INT64) columns are converted from JavaScript bigint to plain decimal strings, and timestamp columns are written as ISO 8601 strings for easy re-import elsewhere.

Can I choose a different delimiter than comma?

Yes, switch the delimiter selector to semicolon, tab, or pipe before or after uploading; changing it re-serializes the already-parsed data instantly.

Is my file uploaded to a server?

No. Reading and CSV serialization both happen client-side using hyparquet, so the file never leaves your browser.
