Schema Markup Generator (JSON-LD)

Pick a schema type, fill in a simple form and get valid JSON-LD wrapped in a ready-to-paste script tag. Supported types are FAQPage, LocalBusiness, HowTo, Product with an Offer, and Article. Empty fields are left out of the output, the JSON is safely escaped, and a checklist flags the fields Google recommends for rich results.

How it works

  1. 1

    Choose the schema type that matches your page: FAQ, Local Business, How-to, Product or Article.

  2. 2

    Fill in the form fields; the JSON-LD updates live on the right.

  3. 3

    Copy the script tag into your page's head or body and test it with Google's Rich Results Test.

Example

FAQ entry
Do you ship abroad? :: Yes, to all EU countries.
JSON-LD
<script type="application/ld+json">
{
  "@context": "https://schema.org",
  "@type": "FAQPage",
  "mainEntity": [
    {
      "@type": "Question",
      "name": "Do you ship abroad?",
      "acceptedAnswer": {
        "@type": "Answer",
        "text": "Yes, to all EU countries."
      }
    }
  ]
}
</script>

Why structured data matters

JSON-LD gives search engines and AI assistants an unambiguous, machine-readable description of your page: what a product costs, when a business is open, which steps a guide contains. That can unlock rich results such as star ratings, price and availability, and it helps AI systems extract accurate facts from your content.

Choosing the right type

Use Product for a single item you sell, LocalBusiness for a physical location with an address, HowTo for step-by-step instructions, Article for editorial content and FAQPage for a list of questions with answers written by you. Use one primary type per page and keep every value consistent with what visitors see.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I put the generated code?

Paste the script tag anywhere in the head or body of the page it describes. Google reads JSON-LD wherever it appears, and it does not affect how the page looks.

Will structured data guarantee rich results?

No. Valid markup makes a page eligible, but Google decides whether to show rich results. Note that FAQ rich results are now limited to a small set of authoritative sites, though the markup remains valid for other search and AI systems.

Can I mark up content that is not visible on the page?

No. Google requires structured data to describe content users can actually see. Marking up hidden content can lead to a manual action.

Is the JSON escaped?

Yes. Characters that could close the script tag are escaped so pasted text cannot break your page.
