UTM Link Builder with Saved Presets
Create campaign links with utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content in seconds. Values are cleaned automatically (lowercase, underscores instead of spaces) so your GA4 reports stay tidy, and existing query parameters in your URL are preserved. Save frequently used source, medium and campaign combinations as presets that persist in your browser, so you never retype them.

How it works
- 1
Enter the destination URL and the required source, medium and campaign values.
- 2
Optionally add term and content, then toggle lowercase cleaning if you prefer to keep the original case.
- 3
Copy the tracked URL, and save the combination as a preset to reuse it next time.
Example
https://example.com/shop
source: Newsletter
medium: email
campaign: Spring Salehttps://example.com/shop?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=spring_saleConsistent naming makes analytics useful
UTM tracking is only as good as your naming discipline. If one teammate writes newsletter and another writes email-newsletter, your campaign report splits the same traffic across rows. Agree on a short list of sources and mediums, and use presets to enforce it. Every link built from a preset will use identical values.
A simple convention to start with
Use the platform as source (facebook, linkedin, mailchimp), the channel type as medium (cpc, social, email), and a short slug with the date or theme as campaign (spring_sale_2026). Use utm_content to compare creatives or button positions inside the same campaign, and reserve utm_term for paid search keywords.
From a tracked link to a scannable one
A UTM link built for a print flyer or a storefront sign still needs a way to reach a phone. Once you have the tagged URL here, paste it straight into our QR code generator to produce a scannable code for the same campaign, so offline and online tracking line up.
Frequently asked questions
Which UTM parameters are required?
Google Analytics needs utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign for a link to be attributed properly. utm_term (paid keywords) and utm_content (to differentiate ads or links) are optional.
Why lowercase the values?
UTM values are case sensitive, so Facebook and facebook appear as two separate sources in reports. Lowercasing and using underscores instead of spaces avoids split data.
Where are my presets stored?
In your browser's localStorage, on this device only. Nothing is uploaded, and clearing your site data will delete them.
Are existing query parameters kept?
Yes. If your URL already contains parameters, they stay in place and the UTM parameters are added or replaced.
