WhatsApp Link Generator
Enter a phone number and an optional message and get a ready-to-share wa.me link that opens a WhatsApp chat with the text already typed. A QR code for the same link is generated instantly, so you can print it on flyers, shop windows or business cards. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is sent to a server.

How it works
- 1
Type the phone number including the country code; spaces, dashes and the + sign are cleaned up for you.
- 2
Optionally write the message that will appear pre-filled in the chat.
- 3
Copy the generated wa.me link, or download the QR code as a PNG.
Example
+39 333 1234567
Hello! I would like more information.https://wa.me/393331234567?text=Hello!%20I%20would%20like%20more%20information.Why use click-to-chat links
A wa.me link removes friction: instead of asking customers to save your number and write the first message, one tap opens a conversation with the context already filled in. Small businesses use them on websites, Instagram bios, email signatures and Google Business Profiles. A pre-filled message such as the product name or booking request also helps you recognise where each conversation came from.
Tips for campaigns
Use a different pre-filled message for each channel, for instance mentioning Instagram or Flyer March, so you can tell sources apart in your inbox. Print the QR code at a size of at least 2 cm and test it with a phone before sending it to print. For website buttons, use the plain link; for physical media, use the QR code.
Frequently asked questions
Which phone format should I use?
Use the full international number with the country code, for example +39 333 1234567. The tool strips spaces, dashes, parentheses, the plus sign and a leading 00, because wa.me requires digits only.
Does the recipient need to be in my contacts?
No. A wa.me link opens a chat with any number that has WhatsApp, even if the number is not saved in the address book of the person clicking it.
Is the message length limited?
The message is URL-encoded into the link, so very long texts can hit browser or platform URL limits. Keep the pre-filled text short, a few sentences at most.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. The link and the QR code are generated entirely in your browser.
