A printing format, repurposed for the web

3MF modernizes STL for 3D printing with color, materials and a proper container format, but printer slicers remain its main audience. Converting to GLB opens the same model up to web viewers, AR previews and game engines.

This tool uses three.js's own 3MF loader to unpack and parse the package and its GLTFExporter to write the GLB, loaded on demand via a dynamic import so the rest of the site stays fast for everyone else.
